How it works
A short lesson each day, read aloud by one warm voice. You pick 2, 5, or 10 minutes.
One small lesson a day
A letter and its sound, a finger trace, then a word to drag across and hear come together: “c… a… t… cat!” On Friday the week's letters come back for a gentle review.
Words grow on a ladder
One letter, then two, then short words, then a tiny story they can sound out themselves. Later come sh, ee, and the magic e in cake. Stars are for trying, never for being right.

On the class iPad, every child's week, lessons finished, and practice days, with the children who have been away longest at the top.
A quiet Friday check-in
A short sound game on Fridays shows grown-ups which sounds a child knows and which they're still practicing. The child only sees a game and a star.
Codes, not accounts
A teacher's short code sets the lesson place at home and brings a note. A family's code shows the teacher what happened at home. No names, no sign-ups, no server.

Questions
Is it a subscription?
No. The first two weeks of reading and the first activity of each Explore area are free for good. One payment opens the rest, for every child in your family.
What ages is it for?
Ages 3 to 7. Reading starts with letter sounds and a gentle pace for ages 3 to 5. Ages 5 to 7 go on to phonics, longer stories, half hours, making change, and code blocks. A grown-up can adjust the pace.
Does it need an account or the internet?
Neither. There is no sign-in and nothing to type. Everything, including the narrator's voice, lives on the device, so the app works on a plane or at grandma's house without Wi-Fi.
What about my child's data?
A profile is a first name or initial, an age range, and an animal from the app. It stays on your device. There are no ads, no tracking, and no analytics. Read the privacy policy.
Can a teacher see my child's progress?
Only if you share it. The Progress page shows a short code with lessons finished, practice days, and how many sounds your child knows. Give it to the teacher and they type it in. There's no name in it, and nothing is sent on its own.
Can more than one child use it?
Yes. Add a profile for each child. Each one keeps their own animal, stars, and place in the lessons, and the unlock covers all of them.
Got a new phone or tablet?
Open the grown-up menu, choose Full LittleNest, and tap Restore purchase. With Family Sharing turned on in your Apple account, your family's other devices get it too.
Not right for your family?
Apple handles iOS App Store refunds. Ask at reportaproblem.apple.com. If a refund is given, the app goes back to the free weeks.
Is there an Android version?
Not yet. LittleNest is for iPhone and iPad first. Ask us and we'll let you know when that changes.
